2010 Tampa Bay Rays!

The Tampa Bay Rays won the AL East in 2010 with a record of 96-66, but could not hold off the Texas Rangers in the ALDS, where they lost in 5 games. Tampa Bay ace David Price had a stellar year, winning 19 games and posting an ERA of 2.72, third best in the AL. Rafael Soriano lead the AL with saves, having come to the pitching rescue 45 times in 2010. The Rays posted a 3.78 team ERA in 2010 and a .276 team batting average.
Tropicana Field
Doesn't this place make you thirsty for OJ?  The marketing is working!  Tropicana Field has been home to the Tampa Bay Rays since 1990.  The stadium seats 36,048 fans and the current playing surface is "Field Turff," which is a euphamism for "artificial turff" used by managers of indoor stadiums.  These people buy pre-owned cars, not used ones.  In any case, Tropicana Field was the home of the 1999 NCAA Final Four.
