The New England Patriots have high hopes for the 2007 NFL season. After a disappointing Divisional playoff loss to the Denver Broncos last season, the New England Patriots are looking forward to asserting their AFC dominance during the 2007 campaign. Quarterback Tom Brady once again leads a balanced offensive attack that will rely on the 1-2 Running Back combination of veteran Corey Dillon and rookie Laurence Maroney. And Tom Brady will once again spread the ball around in the air to a bevy of talented and reliable receivers, including Troy Brown, Reche Caldwell, Doug Gabriel, Chad Jackson, Daniel Graham and Benjamin Watson.
On the defensive end, with returning starters Mike Vrabel, Roosevelt Colvin and Teddy Bruschi anchoring the linebacking corps, and Defensive End Richard Seymour applying constant pressure to the opposing team’s quarterback, the New England Patriots will have one of the more experienced defenses in the NFL. No one schemes other teams’ offenses better than Head Coach Bill Belichick, so the New England Patriots defense should help the New England Patriots return to post-season play for a 7th time in 10 years. If the veteran defense lives up to the lofty expectations, no one would be surprised to see the New England Patriots in Miami, Florida in February 2007 vying for the Super Bowl XLI crown.
